Crickets and frogs chirp and sing to each other
They provide a melodic backdrop – a familiar childhood sound.
Mature trees shelter wooden houses with spacious gardens.
Boat-like cars turn right on red onto wide streets lined with…sidewalks – not pavements. The street is the pavement.
Grocery stores offer an abundance of everything you could ever imagine in giant sizes.
The foliage is different.
The distances so vast.
It’s always a little strange coming to the homeland, identifying with it less and less, and finding it foreign. I’ve lived outside of America longer than in it.
But why do the British cram so much in to such small spaces?? I do love the spaciousness here. I had no idea how much I have adapted to living in comparatively, small spaces!
Otherwise, I feel pulled back to my home in the UK. That’s always a great feeling. A quiet confirmation that I’m where I want to be. It may not be my highest dream, but loving the circumstances of my life and experience is truly wonderful.
Do you love your circumstances at the moment? I’d love to hear about it, and help you love them more than you do at the moment! Give me a call.
