Full Moon Blessings (And the 3am Spiral)

Full moon blessings, friend.

I tossed and turned pretty much every night last week. This week, properly restless. Mind circling, the same worries over and over, the kind of thinking I know better than to indulge.

I have spent twenty five years teaching people how to calm their nervous system, and there I was at three am going over and over the same scenes that aren’t even real.

If you’ve had nights like this, you’re not alone, and you’re not doing it wrong.

Something about this full moon has been stirring things up. Restlessness, racing thoughts, an unsettled feeling that’s hard to put your finger on. That is not a personal failing. That is simply what happens when the body is holding more than it is saying.

What actually helped

I had a coaching call this week with a dear friend, one of the top coaches in Italy. She did not try to fix anything or talk me out of the worry. She just guided me back to my own inner knowing, back to the outcome I actually want. The vision. The dream of getting back to my usual positive, happy, joyful self.

That was all it took. Not more analysis. Not more thinking my way through it. Just a gentle hand pointing me back home to myself.

Why we worry when we know better

Here’s the thing nobody tells you. Knowing better does not stop the three am spiral. I know how the nervous system works. I know the tools. And still, in the moment, worry can grip you the same way it grips anyone.

What breaks the spiral is not more knowledge. It is being witnessed. It is having someone or something reflect back to you who you actually are underneath the worry, and what you are actually working toward.

My friend did that for me this week, simply by asking me what outcome I wanted, and by refusing to stay lost in the problem.

You do not need a coach on call at three am. But you can ask yourself the same question. Not what is wrong. What do I actually want? What does my joyful, grounded self look like from here?

Coming back to the vision

This is the real medicine of a restless night. Not the story of what went wrong. Not the what if. But the redirect back to the dream.

My dream is simple. To feel like myself again. Positive, happy, joyful, confident. Steady in my body rather than spinning in my head.

If you have been tossing and turning too, worrying about things you cannot fully control, try this. Instead of chasing the worry, ask yourself what you actually want instead. Picture it. Let your body feel what it would be like to already be there, even for thirty seconds. That small redirect is often more powerful than any amount of problem solving.

A few questions to sit with

  • What have I been carrying that was never mine to carry?
  • If I let go of the worry entirely, what would I be free to feel instead?
  • What does my most joyful, grounded self actually look like right now?
  • Who or what can gently guide me back to my own knowing when I lose the thread?

Sit with these tonight under the full moon if you can. Journal if that’s your way in, or simply let them move through you as you fall asleep, and notice what rises by morning.

Restless nights pass. What matters is what you come back to on the other side.

Tonight’s fire ceremony simply confirmed my actual alignment and by praying for others and transmuting my own  heaviness, I feel lighter than I have all month.

Happy full moon energy. In Peru we often stand around a fire regardless of the moon’s phase.  If you’re interested in travelling there the last week of September 2027 please, Book a Truth Map Call
