Are You Avoiding Exploring Your Shadow Side For Fear Of What You’ll Find? First of all we ALL have a shadow part whether you want to own that or not. The shadow does not only have to be dark shadows, but it can also be light shadows, when we project our own awesomeness onto others without celebrating it in ourselves. Your shadow side is where your subconscious beliefs live and what CREATES the belief in the first place. When you know WHY you feel triggered it helps you realise that half the triggers have nothing to do with you and that you are only perceiving things a certain way because of what you have modelled in the past. When I am triggered I see that as a great gift so I can look within, look to see what’s behind that trigger lurking in the shadows and then I know what I need to heal and clear. Healing can be FUN! Not the most eloquent during this FB Live, let me please CLARIFY that your triggers are NOT your shadow. Your triggers alert your shadow ie: trigger those feelings of anxiety, doubt, shame, fear, “not good enough” etc. Your shadow is what lies beneath those feelings in the subconscious, what has created those feelings. Later in the video near the end in discussion with viewers I got completely jumbled and said this is how we learn to react instead of respond and I totally reversed that! We need to learn to RESPOND consciously instead of reacting from our triggers! Thank you viewers who actively participated during the live and asked questions. That’s fantastic.
